      2. London is a great spot… it’s years that I have been there… still recalling all the buzz… went to an Irish pub somewhere in central London… will never forget that night and the Indian food… that wasn’t spicy at all 🙂 once you stopped crying and could see your food again… all was good… sometimes I miss the international travel… but what the heck…

      6. Yep, very wise, I nearly took a job last year but discovered just in time the boss was a bit of a psycho….. Marathon is 21st April, how do you run that far? Mostly for me training and then mind over matter – I get bored, it’s all about persuading myself not to just stop and walk! Half marathons are far more fun, you still have to train, but it doesn’t quite take over your life in the same way a marathon does! Do it!!

      7. I clocked 18.2 K the other week and didn’t feel too bad. MIssing 3 K doesn’t seem like a big deal, however I think one can get fooled quite easily… well if it is training then I might opt for 1 half marathon in the second part of the year… should be sufficient in terms of training time… don’t you think?

      8. You could easily build up to a half marathon – you’re almost there now!
since getting my garmin I’ve been far better at not saying, ‘oh that’s nearly X miles, that’s close enough’ as I feel the guilt about not going as far as I should.

      9. Garmin rules… didn’t I tell you… my 310 XT is the biz… and I love it. It is so accurate compared to the Nike stuff, can’t believe I didn’t make that move before… Guess I have become a little more serious about running these days… jippie…

      12. Will let you off!! The distance comes with time – I’m amazed I struggled to run 1 mile before Chrsitmas and injury aside I ran 14miles last Saturday!

      13. thx… 🙂 well today was no distance day… soar throat and sniffy nose, I think I will have to slow down next couple of days…
I am not so worried about the distance, it is as you say, it will come with time and I am in no rush… Read about your injuries and the visit to the doc… unbelievable… guess you can always pick a bad one… you just don’t know with them… so far I have been lucky not having any injuries… fingers crossed…
